The bone and joint injuries this practice takes on
Bethany's own service list places specialized orthopedic surgery inside a wider surgical program that also includes soft tissue surgery, gastrointestinal and abdominal exploratory surgery, and oral and ophthalmic surgery. The practice describes its orthopedic work simply, as care for bone and joint injuries, handled by the same surgical team that works through everything else on that list.
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is listed alongside orthopedic surgery among Bethany's surgical services, and post-operative pain management and care applies across every procedure the practice performs, not orthopedic cases alone. Bethany does not publish which of its veterinarians hold a board certification in surgery, so none is claimed here.

What happens before the surgery: imaging, laboratory and the decision
Digital radiographs and ultrasound are both done in the building, so an X-ray or a scan of an injured joint does not mean sending a dog or cat elsewhere and waiting on somebody else's report. The in-clinic diagnostic laboratory and its advanced urinalysis technology cover the bloodwork side of a pre-surgical workup in the same visit.
When a case calls for more input, Bethany also has access to a telemedicine specialist and a consulting laboratory, both listed among its advanced and diagnostic services. Those exist to add another set of eyes to a decision, not to replace the surgical team actually doing the work.
Chapter 03
Pain management afterwards, and the rehabilitation room down the hall
Post-operative pain management and care is its own line in Bethany's surgical services, and laser therapy for pain control, known clinically as photobiomodulation, is offered as a non-surgical option the practice can use alongside it. Neither is described here as guaranteeing a particular result or a set number of days, because the practice does not publish either.
For dogs recovering from an orthopedic procedure, Bethany also runs a canine rehabilitation program built around a water treadmill, staffed by the practice's own rehabilitation therapist, in the same building. If a veterinarian elsewhere has raised a bone or joint problem, or you have noticed a limp, stiffness, or a leg your dog or cat is favoring, call the office at (815) 239-6938 and ask to talk with the surgical team about what a workup would involve. There is no separate referral form for surgery the way there is for rehabilitation, so a phone call is where this starts.
